I occasionally listen to your episodes, at least those regarding the novels, since that is what I like about DL, even though I got to know about it +/- 10 years ago. Since then I’ve been expanding my collection, with still a large number to read, obviously. Anyway, I just wanted to say that this episode is absolutely great! I love your guys’ enthusiasm, the vibe of this episode (so to speak) and how you analyse happenings in the storyline.
Say, if Chuck had a list of 45 things about Lord Soth, but had to cut them down to 10 for this episode, why not publish those 45 examples here (perhaps with Tristan giving his view on each)? Just being curious.

I am a huge fan of your podcast and cannot wait to hear the next one. I have been listening to your podcasts while at work, as my job is VERY menial and requires no mental effort, and was very intrigued by the debate regarding Lord Soth’s “wasted oppertunities”. While I could argue Chuck’s 10 “reasons” point for point, though on two points I consceed to Chuck but my biggest argument against Chuck’s (and I am a bit surprised that it wasn’t mentioned at all) points is that, while he doesn’t do anything for 350 years, Soth’s inaction is appropriate as HE IS NOT THE FOCUS OF THE BOOKS HE IS IN. I do not mean to make it seem like I am yelling. I just want to make sure that my point is made clear; and by the way, Soth used plenty of magic during the assault of Palanthas, he killed Tanis in one-on-one combat (though Tanis wasn’t the greatest swordsman at all…), and his most bad-@$$ moment is when HE KILLED LADY CRYSANIA who happened to be the second most powerful cleric on Krynn.
